Easter Camps and activities for Kids

Easter Camps 1Thinking how to entertain the kids this Easter? Here at NewsFour we have been looking around to see what is available in the area. If you are looking for archery, rock climbing, rugby or tennis, or perhaps your little darlings are more into art, dancing or swimming, it’s all here in your local area.

There is an Easter tennis camp at Sportsco which happens from 18th- 29th April. It is suitable for 4-12 year olds and runs from 10am to 1pm, and for 13-16 years from 2-5pm each day.

Admission for Sportsco members is €69 per child per week and non-members €89 per week. Contact the website www.jsta.ie or call 087 278 8985.

If you are nurturing the next BOD then get your brood along to Easter rugby camps for kids. It’s for 4-12 year olds and they encourage kids to try new things and have fun. It runs from18th -24th April from 2.30-5pm and admission is €66 for 4 days at Old Belvedere RFC. Anglesey Road. You can call on 087-6189053 for more information.

UCD sports for Kids have an amazing programme of activities aimed at 4-12year olds. Their activities include indoor rock-climbing, trampolining, archery, soccer, lacrosse, dance, dodge-ball and lots more. It all kicks off on April 18th and runs until the 29th, activities are on each day from 10am to 2.30pm, and you can book pre/post camp activities which start earlier and/or later if you are working and need the kids looked after all day. Also at Belfield is the UCD AFC, their Easter Camp is on from 26th to 29th April. They use qualified coaches from a panel of League of Ireland players and cater for all skill levels. Each day is a mixture of fun games and drills in a safe environment. The Camp is open to boys and girls from the ages of 5-14 from 10am – 3pm. If you are thinking of something relaxing what about Half Moon Swimming Club at Marian College Swimming Pool? They are running a water polo camp for boys and girls aged 10-14 years old. It begins on 18th April and ends on the 21st, is on each afternoon from 2pm – 4pm and the cost is a very reasonable €25. If you have crafty kids then make sure you check out the ceramic and mosaic class with Orla Kaminska. Your children will have fun creating ceramic & mosaic artworks, using a large selection of bright, shiny & colourful materials with the artist herself. The age range is 7 + and you can choose between two courses: Course 1 Starts: 18th-21st April: Course 2 starts 26th-29th April. If Got2Dance is your kid’s favourite show then you need to check out the Easter camp at The Liffey Trust (adjacent to the O2) with Colide Dance Academy. It’s only €10 per day and they will experience hip-hop, ballet and musical theatre, drama and break-dancing. They will then rehearse for a special performance on Friday for the parents.
