Enjoy a night of Irish musical history in support of the Sandymount And Merrion Residents Association.

“The Harp that Once” sees Glynis Casson tell the story of her father Christopher Casson, his harp and his career in Dublin’s theatrical scene. She is accompanied by harpist Cormac de Barra, who in turn will play Christopher’s knee-harp, and tell of his grandmother Róisín Ní Shéaghdha, who was also a well-known harpist.

Proceeds from the event will go towards SAMRA, the Sandymount and Merrion Residents Association, whose roots started in 1957, and who campaign for the preservation and improvement of the area from Sean Moore Road in Irishtown, to the city boundaries at Booterstown, to Merrion Road.

The fundraising night will be taking place on the 9th of November at 7.30pm in Sandymount’s Christ Church hall. Tickets cost €25 a head, with a reduced rate of €20 for groups of five or more, and include a light supper. You can book by calling 086 373 1420
