Celebrate this year’s One City, One Book in the RDS next week!

Roddy Doyle takes to the stage in the RDS next Wednesday (April 8) as the venue pays tribute to One City, One Book with its Library Speaker Series for Spring 2015.

Doyle’s Barrytown Trilogy, which consists of The Commitments, The Snapper and The Van, has been chosen as the subject of this year’s One City, One Book initiative.

The series will continue with an exploration of Trinity College Library with its former Librarian and Archivist, Peter Fox on April 15; a discussion of Plants, People and Places with botanist Matthew Jebb on the 29th; and the series wraps up for spring on May 13, when pianists Philip Martin and John O’Conor deliver their Archives and Anecdotes.

Admission is free, but booking is essential, so contact librarydesk@rds.ie to avoid disappointment.
