Have your say about the flood risk management plans currently being put together.
The National Catchment-based Flood Risk Assessment and Management (CFRAM) programme is drawing up a comprehensive approach to flooding problems across Ireland, with 300 areas being looked at as potential flood risk areas.
Planning consultancy group RPS are drawing up flood maps, as they conduct the Eastern portion of the survey on behalf of the OPW and with the support of Dublin City Council. Sandymount has been named as one of the five regions in question, specifically covering the risk of coastal flooding from Beech Road / Sean Moore Park to Merrion Gates.
Two days have been set out for public consultation in Dublin City Council’s Civic Offices on Wood Quay: Monday (March 30) from 3-7pm, and Tuesday (March 31) from 1-7pm. The maps will also be viewable on the Eastern CFRAM Study website from 3pm on Monday.
