Get your running shoes on for the Docklands 5K!

Thursday, June 18 will see runners taking to the streets and tackling a 5K route from Lime Street to the 3 Arena, before looping back to end up on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay. Starting out at 7.30pm, pacers will help spur participants on to break the 20, 25 and 30 minute marks!

The Docklands 5K has been organised by Crusaders Athletics Club in partnership with Dublin City Council and AWAS. Race Director James Cottle said: “Crusaders AC have a long history in this part of Dublin and we are delighted to have the opportunity to bring back the Docklands 5K with invaluable support from Dublin City Council and our fantastic corporate sponsors. This race is truly at the heart of the Docklands community, with all proceeds being reinvested into local sports facilities. This is sure to be a fantastic evening for the local businesses and residential community – so join your neighbours and get your entry in before June 15!”

Once the race is over, Irishtown’s Sober Lane will be hosting a party for everybody involved with spot prizes, music and post-race banter!

The race is open to individuals and businesses in teams of three in Female Only, Male Only and Mixed Team categories. Register on the Precision Timing website before June 15. The cost of registration is €20 for individuals and €60 per team. A free technical t-shirt will be given to all participants.
