Open your mind to a world of creativity with Dublin Maker 2015!

This weekend will see the fascinating event taking place on the grounds of Trinity College, with tents housing all sorts of creative endeavours, from engineers to artists, from science clubs to crafters.

Some of the groups bringing their craft to the public include Dublin hackerspace TOG, who will be showcasing projects such as Skull Radio, which will allow you to listen to sounds without the use of your ears, and TOG Lockpicking, where you can test yourself against some of the group’s collection of Love Locks from the Ha’penny Bridge; the Mini Metal Foundry, will teach you how to build your own foundry and make statues; The Future of Food, where Urban Farm and Belvedere College show how to grow food without soil; and Tom Murphy, who will be bringing his lathe to demonstrate the art of woodturning!

These are just a few of the long list of Makers that will be taking part in the carnival atmosphere – check them all out here!

The free, family-friendly event will take place this Saturday (July 25), from 10am to 6pm on the Physics Lawn in Trinity College.

This year’s Maker will be taking place during the Festival of Curiosity, which kicks off on Thursday and runs across the city until Sunday (July 26).
