The Underwriting Exchange Jumping in the City will take place in Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium this Friday, August 5th.

The showjumping event, which won “Best Innovation in Sport” at the 2015 Sport Industry Awards, will have a “Rio Carnival atmosphere” for this year’s festivities. It coincides with the opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games.

There will be several classes on the night including the Westwood/IFor Williams Amateur class, The Underwriting Exchange Grand Prix and the Devenish Puissance.

Colin Walsh, Director of Commercial Operations of the Irish Greyhound Board, promises that this year’s event will live up to the standard set by last year:

“We are delighted to be working with Horse Sport Ireland again for 2016. Jumping in the City is a special event and warranted winning the Best Innovation in Sport award last year. We believe the 5th August event in Shelbourne Park will be spectacular this year.”

Admission to the event is €15 for adults, €10 for students and OAPs and €12 for children. There is also €70 package available that grants admission to the event, a four course dinner in the grandstand restaurant and panoramic views to watch the jumping action, though this package can be bought for €65 per person by booking a table for four.

Tickets can be bought here or by calling 1890 269 969.
