The Irishtown Stage School Christmas production, ‘High School Musical’, will be performed at Ringsend College on Thursday, December 15th. Doors open at 7pm.

Every year, the Irishtown Stage School present two shows, a full production and a highlights show. They have just finished a successful run of this year’s full production, ‘Annie’.

‘High School Musical’ will feature all the hit songs from the popular show. The leading parts will be performed by Sean Foley as Troy, Sophie Ennis will sing the part of Gabrielle, Patrick Flynn will play Chad and Chloe Doyle will play Taylor.

Liza Caulfield, from Irishtown Stage School, told NewsFour that the performers love putting on a show and put their hearts and souls into the rehearsals, which have been taking place every Saturday since the first week of October. They are rehearsing more frequently now as the performance draws closer.

Past pupils of the school help out with the stage management, lighting and sound. Liza rewards them with vouchers and small gifts from the Kilkenny Shop and said: “Without their help the show could not go on. We have a great community following and many local people never miss a show, even those who do not have kids in the school.
It all comes back to community in the end.”

The new term starts on Saturday, January 14th in Irishtown Stadium. Classes are from 11am to 1pm. For more information you can call Liza on 0877901591.
