Neymar’s Five-A-Side hits Dublin

The second edition of “Neymar Jr’s Five”, held previously in Northern Ireland has arrived in Dublin.

The tournament made an instant impact in its debut year in 2016, with more than 10,000 teams and 65,000 players in 47 countries vying for overall victory.

The competition features fast-paced and technical games that will give young Dublin footballers (16-25 years) the opportunity to put teams of 5 to 7 players together to compete and represent Ireland at the World Final in Brazil this summer.

Teams battle it out in 10-minute matches with a twist. Every time one team scores, the opposition loses a player, which makes it fast, technical, tactical, and unique in the world of football.

Matches have already begun around the city and this Tuesday 4th April, sees more games at YMCA Sandymount from 6pm, and the following week (April 10th and 12th) sees the competition head to Irishtown Stadium.
