This Saturday 10th June, sees the second UCD Festival taking place in Belfield, where attendees can enjoy first-hand the excellent facilities the college has to offer.

Below are some festival highlights:

Philosophers Café
Meet philosophers from the UCD School of Philosophy to discuss free will, human consciousness, moral certainty, political power and other philosophical topics in a lively and informal setting.

From Scribble to Stage and Screen
Grainne Humphreys, Festival Director at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival and UCD alumna will chair a panel discussion, exploring contemporary Irish screenwriting and film-making with key writers and practitioners in the field.

Innovation in Sport and High Performance.
In the world of high performance sport, elite athletes and coaches are increasingly tapping into the world of technology and innovation to advance performance. The panel will reflect on the research and academic expertise within UCD, while showcasing and celebrating the wealth of elite sporting talent that has emerged from the University.

Celebrating Poetry
This Poetry and Music event will feature representatives from English and Irish language poetry and European poets in translation, along with ‘Poetry Aloud’ competitors.
