The Dublin Dock Workers Preservation Society has spent the last seven years collecting documents and photographs in an effort to preserve the industrial history of Dublin Docks.
This Thursday they will be handing over their collection to Dublin City Council Archives Section, who will digitise and make the documents available to the people of the capital.
The Lord Mayor, Micheál Mac Donncha, will be present at the handover which will take place at 2.30pm at Pearse Street library.
