During this year’s BT Young Scientist exhibition, one special guest drew the crowds on Thursday afternoon. Dr. Norah Patten aka ‘Girl in Space’ hopes to realise her dream of going into space within the next six years, before her 40th birthday.

Dr. Patten is on her way to become, probably, Ireland’s first astronaut. She met and engaged with students and visitors during a question and answer session. She has recently finished the first steps in her astronaut training and is now member of the International Space University.
