100th Liffey Swim

The 100th Dublin City Liffey Swim will take place tomorrow, August 3rd, starting with the men’s race at noon and the women’s an hour later.

Over 600 swimmers, with 40 participants travelling from all over the world, have signed up for the historic race, which is also part of the Leinster Open Sea (LOS) Swim Series.

The competition will begin at the Watling Street Bridge. The finish is at Custom House Quay. Competitors will swim 2.2 kilometers downstream underneath the key bridges of Dublin City. Jones Engineering, Dublin City Council and Liffey Swim organisers from LOS are hoping for a huge audience to cheer on those daring the waters.
