Big Beach Clean-up

After a break in 2020, the Big Beach Clean was back again this year, where a record number of over 400 clean-ups were organised by volunteers who removed 42 tonnes of litter across the country.

In addition, more volunteers joined clean-ups facilitated by Clean Coasts officers in eight different locations around Ireland. The Big Beach Clean-up is an annual event that takes place in September at the end of the bathing season. We say well done to all who took part. And THANK YOU for helping keep our beaches clean.

Pictured clean-ups on Bull Island, Clontarf, the Liberties, and our own Sandymount, just a small selection.
