Poetry Is The Soul In Words

YOU’RE THE OTHER PERSON’S CHAMPION

You stand by them with encouragement and support.
You knock gently so they do not hear you enter their
soul
And still their fears!
You defend them, when hard hearted people attack
them
And catch them unawares.
They will rise to the highest level with you by their
side
Your compassion is about living with an open heart.

COUNTRYSIDE

It is Spring again thank God
He lets the wild flowers
grow profusely in the Glens of Ireland.
Take a walk in the open air,
Travel by foot and I’ll meet you there,
Oh the wonder of it all!
A gentle walk is as good as sleep.
A tear in your eye, will swell for joy.
I’ll meet you there below the sky.
The sun is shining and so are you.
The sky is blue, the day is new.
Smile, it’s the new day.

EASTER SUNDAY

This then is my magic place
With glinting water and willows a weeping,
While blossom trees are a wedding of
white
On this my miracle day,
When my namesake gave me my jab
Miracle of miracles,
Christ is risen, He is risen indeed,
And my moment with nature
Is enhanced to-day with the sight again
Of Old Man Heron
On a rock, in the river
A wonderful Easter of Hope.
