About us

NewsFour IS Dublin 4 and makes no apologies for being a ‘Good News’ newspaper that promotes the positivity of its local community. Born in 1985, it is one of the longest running, most loved, local papers in Dublin.
It is read from Ballsbridge to Beijing, from Sandymount to San Francisco, from Donnybrook to Dubai and believe it or not it’s BIG in Japan. NewsFour travels so much it makes Michael Palin look like a shut in! It’s not black and white but it’s read all over!
A real peoples’ paper with ‘atin’ and drinkin’ between its sheets, it consistently covers everything from community initiatives and charitable events to entertainment, general interest and the preservation of local history, with the odd picture of your Nan thrown in for good measure. NewsFour prides itself on being a shining light of inspiration to its readers and relishes in making them feel good.
NewsFour is produced by the dedicated efforts of the community employment participants employed by its mother organisation Sandymount Community Services. SCS, based in Ringsend employs and trains 26 people in the local area, providing staff for much needed, underfunded services in the community.
