Dublin City Council have organised a Public Meeting for the 26th of November to help advise an upcoming Conservation Study of Sandymount Green. The meeting will endeavour to inform the public of the study’s purpose and methodology, as well as collecting suggestions on the future conservation and management of the Green.

Dublin Dock Workers Preservation Society Meeting Tonight
The Dublin Dock Workers Preservation Society held a meeting in the Sean O’Casey Centre in East Wall on Thursday. Amongst the items on the agenda was the Society’s upcoming photographic exhibition in the Oak Room of the Mansion House on Thursday the 20th, which will feature speakers such as SIPTU President Jack O’Connor.

Coming up this week, Lighthouse cinema’s comprehensive Stanley Kubrick season continues with Eyes Wide Shut, the Sugar Club will be recreate a 1950s high school dance hall for a screening of Back to the Future, followed by a recreation of the movie’s Enchantment Under the Sea dance, and the French Film Festival returns to the Irish Film Institute. The new releases are The Imitation Game, Third Person, and Set Fire to the Stars.
