Christmas in Dublin 4!

The festive season is in full swing across Dublin 4 as we come ever closer to Christmas!

Sandymount

Santa Claus paid a visit to Sandymount Hotel on December 13 in aid of children’s charity ambulance service Bumbleance, and they also had a spectacular Gingerbread Village on display! St John’s Church held a carol service on December 20, with a collection for homeless charity Focus Ireland. NewsFour’s Ross Waldron was on hand to capture the event:

Beggars Bush

Mr Tilly’s house is lighting up Bath Avenue once again! He managed to raise €9,330 for Our Lady’s Hospice in Harold’s Cross this year!

Ringsend

Ringsend’s Christmas tree lit up outside St Patrick’s Church on December 8, when people were invited to release white balloons to remember those they have lost. Angela Barry posted this video of the moment the balloons were released on Facebook!

Lots of fun was had when Santa visited the Spellman Centre on Irishtown Road on December 17!

Donnybrook

Former Ireland and Leinster Rugby legend Leo Cullen came along to help spread Christmas cheer for Donnybrook’s tree-lighting extravaganza! Sean Brennan posted a raft of photos and a write-up on what looks to have been a great event on Facebook. It is in the closed group Friends of Donnybrook, so if you want to have a look you will have to request to join!
