The classical music festival, Feis Ceoil, which has been held annually since 1896 and attracts over 5,000 participants from all over Ireland, runs in Ballsbridge until March 23rd.
Following that a showcase performance of the most outstanding competitors from this year’s Festival will perform at a special Gala Concert in the National Concert Hall at 7.30pm on Thursday April 26th.
Some of the performances still to come include “Guitar” – Friday 16th March, “Brass” – Monday 19th March, “Orchestral conducting” – Thur 22nd & Fri 23rd March and “Organ” – Friday 23rd March.
The competitions at Feis are open to everyone to enjoy, and those who aren’t participants can go along as an audience member. For a €5 daily ticket, all of the competitions, from opera performances to children’s choirs, are open to the public. Tickets can be bought daily at the RDS.
