Liberties Festival to Hit Dublin Streets

We at NewsFour are not afraid to let our readers/followers know of events outside our catchment area and with that in mind, we want to update you concerning the upcoming Liberties Festival.

This year’s event runs from Wednesday, 18th July to Sunday, 22nd July and will include a range of family-friendly, arts and cultural events in venues across the Dublin 8 area.

The festival will be promoted today with a photo-call featuring various Liberties locals, including:

· Gogglebox Ireland star, Anita Reilly, who was born and reared in the Liberties, and her four-year-old daughter, Remy Munroe.

· Young musicians who are members of the South West Inner City Network (SWICN) Youth Group.

· Mother and son, Cathline Farrel and David O’Connor, who are well-known traders on Thomas Street.

From modest beginnings in 1970, The Liberties Festival has grown to become a highlight of the summer in Dublin 8, with a series of family-friendly, sporting and community events, as well as a cultural and arts programme encompassing visual art, film, dance, comedy, literature and music.
