World Cup fever has hit the streets of Dublin 4 and indeed the entire universe, and while the major event continues in Russia, the Mini World Cup wrapped up last weekend in Ringsend.
Over 350 kids took part with the youngest group featuring under 6 boys and girls, in an event organised once more by Cambridge F.C. and the FAI.
In an homage to Neymar Jr., one local lad was seen rolling out of Ringsend Park, down Pigeon House Road, across the toll bridge and into the Liffey. He was later reported unhurt. (This may or may not have happened).
Finals day on Saturday saw penalties missed, saved, tears and joy. A fantastic soccer start to the summer holidays.
