Embark on a brand new adventure in Dublin Zoo, now open to the public, themed ‘Zoorassic.’ This trail features forty of the world’s most realistic types of Animatronic Dinosaurs and over sixty prehistoric artefacts. From Triceratops the size of an ice cream van to a Brachiosaurus that stands over 65 feet tall and a 40 foot T-Rex! This interactive experience sends its audience into an imaginary Jurassic Park world bringing these prehistoric creatures to life like never before.
There are many remarkable things about this experience, it’s hard to pick just one. The height and breath of the prehistoric animatronics are most realistic, but also the roars and the ways they move. Their roars are so thunderous, they can be heard all around the Zoo, making the experience all the more exciting.
Another cool thing about dinosaurs is that they are engaging for all ages. Small children to adults were all present in the experience, rushing to get their pictures taken in the photo ops, along with recording the experience to look back on.

This immersive experience includes epic photo ops including dino eggs for visitors who want to climb inside. For all the real Dino fans out there, you can download a Dinosaur detective quiz on Dublin Zoo’s website for extra fun and knowledge along the way.
A fun fact about the new creation is that ‘Dino Don’ Lessem, a science advisor who helped Stephen Spielberg with Jurassic Park, also collaborated with Dublin Zoo for their new Zoorassic trail. Another collaboration of his is with Disney and Universal Studios on their animatronic dinosaur attractions.

The good thing about the experience is, it doesn’t cost an extra penny to see! It’s all included in the same original ticket price. Staff working there said the Zoo didn’t want to charge extra for the experience as they recognize the cost of living crisis and don’t want people reaching into their pockets for something they can’t afford. They also wanted to recognize animals who are extinct amongst animals still alive and in the Zoo, to keep their heritage alive.
Online ticket prices range from €20.20 to €23.80 per adult, depending on when you go and €14.90 to €18 for kids, with children under 3 going completely free!
Zoorassic Trail is on until early September and allows visitors to see both animals and dinosaurs in one visit. It is an unforgettable experience and is one you won’t regret.
