Have your say on the Ringsend Irishtown Village Improvement Plan this week!

A public consultation is being held on Thursday, with the redesign of the area around Ringsend Library Plaza as the main focus.

The Ringsend and Irishtown Village Improvement Plan is part of the Dublin City Development Plan, which aims to make improvements in urban villages around Dublin. The plan has been running since 2011 and will wrap up in 2017.

Some of the objectives for Ringsend set out in the plan are the redesign of the area around Ringsend Library; improving items in the public realm, from street benches to bike stands; and better pedestrian and cycle routes. The full list can be viewed as a .pdf on the Dublin City Council website.

This will be the first of a series of public consultations, and will be held in Ringsend Library from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Thursday. For more information, or if you have any suggestions for the plan, email
