The six teams that will compete in the American Football Showcase tomorrow have arrived in Dublin and will parade through the city centre today.

The players, coaches and cheerleaders will begin the march at 4.30pm and will be led by Boston College and Georgia Tech cheer teams. It will begin at Parnell Square before making its way through O’Connell Street and over O’Connell Bridge before heading through D’Olier Street and arriving in front of Trinity College. The entertainment will conclude with a high school pep rally at Parliament Square.

Upon his arrival in Dublin Airport from New Jersey yesterday morning, St. Peter’s Prep Marauders running back Adonis McGee spoke about his anticipation for the parade, the match and experiencing Ireland for the first time:

“I’m really looking forward to the parade and seeing all the tourist attractions and having fun here with my teammates. We all got some sleep and it was a smooth flight. We’re excited and this is a great opportunity to be out the country and playing football. We have to combine two things, focusing on what we have to do for the game and have fun being in a different country at the same time.”
