Jumping in the City: the road to Rio
For the second year, Jumping in the City, a series of show-jumping tournaments in association with Horse Sport Ireland set around Greyhound stadia and grandstands in Limerick, Cork and Dublin, took place in Shelbourne Park Stadium in the Ringsend area of Dublin 4 to much fanfare and excitement (including live salsa dancers).

Tricolour raised at George Reynolds estate
On September, 16th a flag raising ceremony was held in George Reynolds House to commemorate Commander George Reynolds. George Reynolds was a commander in the Irish Republican army, who made an effort to stall British troops at Clanwilliam House and gave up his life in so doing. To honour him, the housing estate was named after him when it was built originally.

George Reynolds House is both a housing estate and a community located in Irishtown. The area is arranged in three building blocks with a central courtyard and storage units. It is named after Commander George Reynolds, who lost his life in the struggle for Irish Independence.
