With the first St. Patrick’s Day to take place in two years upon us, where are the best places to celebrate the craic? Read on to see some of the best free events in Dublin on this Paddy’s Day!

Mo Cultivation Urban Takeover

Taking place on the evening of the 17th at 7pm in the Museum of Decorative Arts Collin Barracks, Mo Cultivation sets to showcase some of the best urban and hiphop acts Ireland has to offer! Acts include Dublin rapper Nealo, Galway singer/songwriter Celaviedmai and OG trailblazer of Carribean, Latin and African music in Ireland, Sim Simma, will close the night. Get down and shake your stuff! For 18s and over.

Damian Clark – Neil Delamere – Julie Jay – Grace Mulvey

Another free event tkaing place in Collins Barracks at 7:30 on Thursday, will be the comedy stylings of Neil Delmare, Julie Jay, Damian Clark and Grace Mulvey. Laugh till it hurts in the Big Top and wash away those covid blues with some of Ireland’s finest comedians. Try to get there early as it will be a seated event and it’ll be a first come first serve for seats. For 18s and over.

G’wan Ireland Exhibition at Hen’s Teeth

If you’re after a more quiet affair, Hen’s Teeth in Dublin 8 will be hosting an exhibition of 40 works of contemporary art and photography from the 16th or March till the 3rd of April. On St.Patrick’s day, the cafe/shop will host the Hen’s Teeth Paddy’s Day Block Party from 2pm. Get down before then to enjoy the art and stay on for the party!

Festival Quarter Daytime Shows

For the kids, visit the festival quarter during the day on Thursday, between 12pm and 6pm for a full selection of free events for all ages! Games,
family céilís, film screenings, rock/hiphop/traditional music with science & circus performances. Parents can also take a breather by the Irish Food and Craft Village, what’s not to love?
