In November the RDS was host to Art Source, billed as an incredible selection of affordable art, as well as exciting pieces from the biggest names in the art world.
One piece that stood out particularly for me was a painting of our very own river Liffey, with Liberty Hall displaying a ‘Ceasefire now’ banner. Very impactful and struck the right note in these sad times.
There was also a painting of The Joker from the Batman movies (Phoenix not Ledger) which fans of the hit franchise will surely pick up on! At first I thought this was a photograph, however as I got closer I realised it was a very realistic depiction of the character’s face. The bright colours used in this piece really stood out along with the depth of humanity in it.
In the photo above you can see the layout of the gallery from a bird’s eye view where each artist has their own stand.
