Celebrate National Biodiversity Week with the Dusk Chorus this Thursday.
National Biodiversity Week runs all this week and aims to give the public an opportunity to get closer to nature. Dublin City Council is running the Dusk Chorus event in association with BirdWatch Ireland.
Dublin City Council’s Parks Superintendent Leslie Moore says “This is a great opportunity to get out and about and enjoy the nature and wildlife that’s right here on our doorstep in Dublin city. Events like the dawn and dusk choruses will also help you recognise different bird songs and show you how to encourage birds into your own garden.”
Meet at the bandstand near Herbert Park Lake at 7.30pm tomorrow to join the group for the Dusk Chorus in St. Anne’s Park.
More events happening around the country for National Biodiversity Week can be found here on the Irish Environmental Network’s website.
