Jedis to invade Dublin

Invasion2 600x400

Come out to celebrate all things Star Wars related this weekend in the RDS, as Invasion Dublin kicks off.

The fourth event of its kind, Invasion Dublin is held in support of Irish Autism Action, and will feature lots of fun for fans of all ages. With the involvement of the Emerald Garrison, a group renowned for their Star Wars costuming, fans will be able to rub shoulders with Storm Troopers and Rebels alike. Among other activities, there will be a Q&A session with cast members Anthony Forrest (Fixer and Sandtrooper), Alan Ruscoe (Plo Koon, Bib Fortuna and Daultay Dofine) and Femi Taylor (Oola), and there will even be specialised training to teach children how to use the Force!

The timing could not be better, with the announcement by Disney that the next installment in the Star Wars series is to be set 30 years after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Having taken over LucasFilm in 2012, Disney has committed to adding three new films to the legendary franchise.

Join the Emerald Garrison as Invasion Dublin runs on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of May from 10am-5pm. Admission is €15 for adults, €10 for under 12s, and for a family of two adults and two children it costs €38. Children under four go free!
