Tuesday:
Great Electric Drive 2014 Launched
ESB has launched the second Great Electric Drive, with 26 people from around the country named as ecar ambassadors. The Great Electric Drive – an initiative of ESB’s Innovation division – was launched at the Waterways Ireland Visitors Centre last week, and will give these people a chance to use an electric car for four months. Six commercial organisations have also been named as ambassadors.

Bealtaine Festival 2014
Celebrate spring throughout the month of May, as Dublin City Council launches 2014’s Bealtaine Festival programme. This year’s theme is “And catch the heart off guard”, which is taken from Seamus Heaney’s poem “Postscript”. The programme has been put together by the Hugh lane Gallery, Dublin City Council’s Arts Office and Dublin City Public Libraries, and is aimed in particular at people who are over the age 50.
