Wake up for the Dawn Chorus

The Dawn Chorus 2014

Dublin City Council and Sandymount Tidy Towns invite you to watch and listen as the natural world wakes up this Saturday morning, with the Dawn Chorus.

Niall Hatch, BirdWatch Ireland’s Development Officer will be the guide for this walking tour.

BirdWatch is the largest wildlife charity based in Ireland, with 14,000 members across their 20 branches nationwide. The focus of their conservation work is on Ireland’s bird population and biodiversity. With more than 45 years of experience under their belts, BirdWatch Ireland continue to work to add to the conservation successes that they have already achieved.

It promises to be a special experience, as you will see and hear a host of birds from the Ringsend, Irishtown and Sandymount areas awakening. The tour begins at 4.30am on Saturday where Sandymount Strand starts, at the junction of Strand Road, Beach Road and Marine Drive. The event is free and will last about 90 minutes.
