Get your team down to Herbert Park tomorrow for some classic schools sports day fun, as Barretstown launches its annual Big Picnic.

Hosted this year by Eversheds, the School Sports Day will feature an egg and spoon race, a three-legged race and sack racing, as well as more unusual events, such as space-hopping and cup stacking! Today FM presenter Paul Collins is going to MC the event, and there are plans for him to be joined by other special guests on the day.

Barretstown is a camp in County Kildare, which provides therapeutic recreation activities to children with serious illnesses, and is this year celebrating its 20th anniversary in Ireland. Founded by Paul Newman, this charity provides all of its services at no cost whatsoever to the family, even covering transport, food and medical assistance.

If your business would like a fun day of team building exercises, teams of six can be booked for €500, with all proceeds from the event going to Barretstown. The School Sports Day runs until 7pm, and will be followed by a barbeque in Herbert Park with drinks in Crowe’s Bar on Merrion Road afterwards.

You can download a booking form from Barretstown’s website.
