Join Pearse Street Library for their new Spanish Film Season!

The first offering from the Library, which cannot be named due to licence restrictions – let’s call it the Scottish Play Spanish Comedy – will be screened today at 5.30pm, and is a gem from 2013.

There are some excellent films lined up for this season, which will be happening at 5.30pm on the following Thursdays: 4th September, 9th October, 6th November, and 11th December. The age rating for each evening will depend on the film, but the Library hopes to start a regular children’s Spanish language film afternoon in the near future.

The Library is also planning to start a classic film club in the afternoon for the retirement generation, to give them an opportunity to see an era of films that is often overlooked by modern cinemagoers.

Don’t forget that the Library’s Spanish Language Exchange is still ongoing, with the next two Saturdays booked in to the Conference Room. The Exchange will move to Thursday from September, and will be taking a break for October, due to overbooking.

To find out more about the Spanish language/children’s Spanish language film programme, or to show your interest in the classic film programme, be sure to get in touch at pearsestreetlibrary@dublincity.ie, or by calling the Library at (01) 6744 888.
