Debut author Sharon Black (on right) launched her romantic comedy, Going Against Type, in Sandymount on Thursday, November 13. The book launch – which was introduced by singer and actress Honor Heffernan.
Going Against Type, which is set against the backdrop of Dublin newspapers, is a story of two rival columnists who fall in love, without realising that they are bitter enemies in print. The book was e-published by Irish-based Tirgearr Publishing, a digital-first publishing house.
Dublin-born Sharon, who lives in Sandymount with her husband and their three children, has a background in journalism. “My protagonist is a female sports reporter, who falls in love with a male fashion writer, so the sports club was a perfect venue for the launch,” she said.
Going Against Type is available as an e-book from Tirgearr Publishing, and on Amazon, Kobo e-books, Apple, Nook and Smashwords.
