Clanna Gael Fontenoy brought a successful 2014 on and off the playing fields to a close in a most appropriate way – by celebrating all that had been achieved and honouring many of its players, coaches and members who had contributed to those achievements.

A fantastic night was had by the 170 people who attended the club Dinner and Party before the Christmas holidays. And for this great credit goes to Lisa Murray, Elaine McDonnell and their large team of helpers who co-ordinated the event and, in the process, transformed the club hall into a splendid venue.

In line with our mission statement, which is to promote community-wide participation in the club’s sporting, cultural and social activities, success is not just about winning, it’s also about participating and contributing; and this is reflected in the awards presented by the club each year to those viewed to have supported that mission.
