Choirs
The Sandymount Gospel Choir, under the direction of Cathy McEvoy, specialise in the performance of gospel songs. To coincide with National Choral Singing Week, an open rehearsal for would-be choiristers will be held on October 6th, in association with Mental Health Ireland. Male singers especially welcome! When: Rehearsals, Tuesdays 7:30-9:30pm. Perform at 6pm Mass every second and fourth Sunday
Where: Rehearsals, in the meeting rooms at the rear of the Church. Performance at Star of the Sea Church, Sandymount, Dublin 4.

The Donnybrook Parish Choir, under the direction of Catherine Killoran, is also looking for new members. It is a four-part choir and the good news is, there are no auditions! Just turn up – male singers particularly welcome.
When: Meet for rehearsals at 10.15am, Sunday mornings. Perform at 12 o’clock mass.
Where: Rehearsals at Donnybrook Parish Centre. Performance at Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook, Dublin 4

RDS Events
Buy My Dress is an annual fundraising event which raises money for The Downs Syndrome Centre in Sandyford. If fashion is your thing this is the place to be on Sunday October 4th. Plenty of couture bargains to be had!
When: Sunday October 4th, 2015 11am to 5pm
Where: RDS, Hall 3.
Admission: €5 Available at the door.

Graduate Careers Fair
Gradireland’s Graduate Careers Fair gathers together a host of employers, course providers and careers advisors. There will be plenty of jobs on offer, both in Ireland and overseas, as well as internships and graduate training programmes.
When: Wednesday October 07, 2015, 11am to 5pm
Where: RDS, Hall 8C.
Admission: Free once registered on the event website.

The Active Over 50s Show
With over 250 exhibitors, free goodie bags for all attendees, health checks, talks and all kinds of free health screenings, the Active Over 50s show will be of interest to anyone who is interested in making the most of life after the oft-times dreaded 50 mark.
When: 9th, 10th and 11th October. 11.30am to 5.30 pm daily
Where: RDS, Main Hall.

Exhibition: Eve Parnell ‘A Postcard to Ireland’
If art is your thing, you may want to check out A Postcard to Ireland, featuring the work of artist Eve Parnell. The exhibition is free and open to all.

Art Source
Art Source 2015 will showcase the work of over 100 contemporary artists alongside 30 Irish and international galleries featuring painting, sculpture, photography, illustration, prints and ceramic art. A great opportunity to meet the artists and buy directly from them, just in time for Christmas!
