Could you contribute to an exhibition about 1916?
The National Print Museum has put out a call for ephemera related to the 1916 Rising, so that it can put together an exhibition which engages the public with a fresh slant!
The exhibition will cover the role of printers during the Rising, and the museum is looking for any and all print-related ephemera you might have from that era, from printers’ records to photographs, newspapers to memorial cards. Even artifacts from the 50-year commemorations in 1966 are of interest!
You can drop in to the museum’s open day on Sunday, January 24, between 2 and 4pm with any artifacts you would be willing to lend for the duration of the exhibition. Items will not be collected on that day, but the committee will be taking photographs of everything they believe would make for good exhibition material.
