DUBLIN PORT RIVER FESTIVAL
Friday 3rd June – Monday 6th June
This June Bank Holiday, North Wall Quay will play host to the Dublin Port Riverfest. Organised by the Dublin Port Company and the Docklands Business Forum, the festival will provide a jam-packed programme of entertainment and family fun including the arrival of three tall ships and four schooners which will berth at North Wall Quay for the weekend.

Land activities will include street performers, music from shanty singers and a unique Irish/Nigerian band, bars, face painting and carnival attractions, children’s art and circus workshops. There will be pirate re-enactments all weekend, open air food and craft markets as well as exhibitions in the CHQ Building.

THE VHI WOMEN’S MINI MARATHON, DUBLIN CITY CENTRE
Monday 6th June
Over 40,000 women are expected to take to the streets in Dublin on Monday, June 6, to walk, jog or run the 10k Women’s Mini Marathon. A fun day out and a great way to raise money for charity. So even if you haven’t been pounding the pavements to get 10k ready, be sure to support someone who is taking part.

MINI EUROS 2016 TOURNAMENT
Tues June 7th – Fri June 10th

Will take place in Ringsend Park and organised by Cambridge FC – they have over 250 boys and girls between ages of 5-14 enrolled already. On the week of the tournament Cambridge FC will need more people to help out so any interested volunteers, or children to enrol, please check out Cambridge FC Facebook page and leave contact details.

STREET FEAST 2016 – GET TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOURS!

GCDRA are delighted to bring Street Feast 2016 to the area on Sunday June 12th this summer. The event is part of the Dublin 2016 commemoration programme and promises to be a fun-filled family event. It’s a not for profit, all-for-fun, do-it-yourself celebration. Street Feast is a neighbourhood street party that will be hosted by you and your neighbours. Aiming to bring our whole community together for a party this Summer! They’re going to take over the main street for the afternoon. Bring a chair/blanket (if you can) and they’ll organise some games and music.

VENTURE WORLD CUP
Fri 17th – Sun 19th June 2016
Thousands of spectators are expected to witness the final leg of the world’s toughest and most prestigious powerboat race in Dublin. The weekend will feature an event village in the Dublin Docklands with entertainment for all the family, including music performances, water sports activity, a food and drinks village and the final leg of the Venture Cup Race.

CITY SPECTACULAR
Friday 8th – Sunday 10th July
The free festival will take place over two weekends with hundreds of world class, award winning street performances. Other highlights over the week include the ESB Spark Your Imagination area, which is a creative hub for children with creative writing workshops from Fighting Words, fun and games from Imaginosity and a live science and electricity show from Doktor Kaboom.
LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice is the official charity partner of the City Spectacular Festival this year.

SUMMER PROJECT FOR
5 – 15 year olds
July 19th – 29th
& August 9th – 18th

Summer Project runs for four weeks during July and August. it caters for over 140 children aged between 5 – 15 from the area. It is run by Centre staff and volunteers and they bring the children out on a variety trips like Clara Lara, Fort Lucan, Aquatic Centre and lots lots more.
