The Maxol-sponsored Parks Tennis has launched its Autumn Programme and will come to Dublin 4 with classes in Herbert Park.

The programme was first launched in 1977 and has grown over the years, currently employing 330 people in 150 venues across the country. It encourages young people to enjoy tennis and supplies them with all of the necessary equipment, with 25,000 youngsters enrolled nationwide at present.

The Autumn programme is set to begin in mid-September and will run for eight weeks at a cost of €30 per child. Children from the ages of 5-17 can join at any time during the eight weeks and will receive coaching from qualified coaches. Classes will be run in three hour-long sessions, covering children aged 5-7 in the first hour, 8-11 in the second and 12-17 in the third.

The programme will make its way to the Dublin 4 area, with classes in Herbert Park, Ballsbridge on Saturday September 17th from 10am-1pm.

Maxol’s Group Brand Development Manager Fergal Harrington spoke of the company’s support for the programme:

“Maxol is thrilled to be part of the Parks Tennis programme, we love to see young people learn new skills which inevitably fills them with confidence. It is important that youngsters find a sport that they enjoy. More than anything, it is so healthy for young people to be part of social outlet, which is interactive, results-driven and a bit of fun.”
