Scripted, a showcase of new plays by this year’s graduating MFA (Master of Fine Arts) Playwrights will take place at The Lir Academy this Saturday.

Over the course of their studies, the graduates have been taught by playwrights, dramaturges and literary managers such as Conor McPherson, Karin McCully, Thomas Conway and Gavin Kostick. In addition to this, they have received training from former Literary Manager of the Royal Court Graham Whybrow.

The plays will feature a professional cast and graduate actors from The Lir Academy. Audience members will have a chance to experience these plays for the first time with script-in-hand readings of extracts.

Tickets are free and are available at Fringe box office at the Sycamore Building, Sycamore Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 or by calling 18506106. The event will begin at 11am in Studio One with a duration of one hour.

The Lir Academy is located on the Trinity Technology and Enterprise Campus, Pearse Street.
