Startup Grind welcoming LaunchBit founder

Startup Grind Dublin will welcome investor Elizabeth Yin to Barrow Street next Wednesday, September 21st.


Currently a partner at 500 Startups as well as running their Mountain View accelerator, Yin has had an impressive career. She co-founded the adtech company LaunchBit and was its CEO until 2014, when it was sold to BuySellAds.

Yin has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from MIT Sloan. These qualifications allowed her to hold the position of product marketing manager at Google from 2007 to 2008, as well as employment at CERN, National Instruments Japan, Infosys Technologies Ltd., Parrotview and The Hustle.

She will discuss her experiences and the lessons that she has learned throughout her career. Anyone seeking to make it as an entrepreneur can learn a lot from a veteran of the field.

Startup Grind is the largest independent startup community which aims to educate, inspire and connect entrepreneurs. It was founded in the Silicon Valley in 2010 and to date has helped millions of entrepreneurs reach new users, connect to partners and hires, gain mentorship and pursue funding.

The event will take place in Gordon House, Barrow Street on Wednesday September 21st from 5pm-8pm and will be hosted by David Scanlon, director of Startup Grind Dublin. Tickets cost €15 and can be bought here.
