The 18th Annual IDI Irish Design Awards will be held this Thursday November 17th in the Marker Hotel at the Grand Canal Square.

The event, which is organised by the Institute of Designers in Ireland, takes place with the intention of promoting professionalism, high standards of design and each designer’s responsibility to their clients, other designers and society as a whole. It will run from 8pm until midnight.

The night will be a star-studded ceremony that will celebrate the achievements of Irish designers. The organizers promise that it will be “an extravaganza of design, food, fun and comedy”.

The festivities will kick off at 7pm with a drinks’ reception and press photographs. Paddy Cullivan will play the role of MC once the awards are given from 8pm onwards, with the most prestigious being the Outstanding Achievement in Design Award. Food will be served from 9.45pm to 10pm.
