Aldi will seeking Ireland’s top child rugby pundits at Donnybrook Stadium this Saturday January 21st from 12pm-4pm.

The Aldi Kids Rugby Panel is giving 7 children the chance to give live match analysis before, during and after each of the Ireland RBS 6 Nations games. Children ideal for the panel will be from ages 7-11 and have a lot of energy and enthusiasm.

Anyone hoping to submit an entry can upload one to the panel’s website or present one in person at the casting call in Donnybrook Stadium.

Finbar McCarthy, Group Buying Director of Aldi Stores Ireland, spoke of the panel at its launch:

“We are delighted to be partnering with the IRFU (Irish Rugby Football Union) and RTÉ for The Aldi Kids Rugby Panel. As a business rooted in communities across the country for over 17 years, we’re committed to helping more young people throughout Ireland gain access to rugby in their local school. In September 2016 we launched the Aldi Play Rugby initiative, bringing the non-contact rugby programme to schools all over the country and with the Aldi Kids Rugby Panel we’re hoping to add something extra special to the RBS 6 Nations that all the family can get involved in.”

The RDS 6 Nations fixtures are as follows:

  • 4th February 2017 – Scotland v Ireland at BT Murrayfield
  • 11th February 2017 – Italy v Ireland at Stadio Olimpico
  • 25th February 2017 – Ireland v France at Aviva Stadium
