Community awards

The Sean Moore Community Awards – first established during the 1988 Dublin Millennium – are returning for another year.

The awards for “exceptional community service” were inaugurated to honour the memory of the late Sean Moore, former Dail Deputy, Minister of State and Lord Mayor of Dublin.

Any person or organisation from the Dublin 2, 4 and 6 areas (where Moore represented) who have made an exceptional contribution to the community can be nominated. Applications will be adjudicated by an independent panel of judges, and awards will be presented on the 24th May at a ceremony in Clanna Gael Fontenoys clubhouse in Ringsend.

Nominees can be a good neighbour, a community or residents association leader, young or old, man or woman, you decide. Please send a letter outlining why your nominee should receive an award, no later than Friday 28th April, to:
