Run In The Dark- Information on fundraiser and road closures

What is ‘Run In The Dark?’ It’s a global event occurring in 50 cities with approximately 25000 people walking, running or wheeling the 5km or 10km in aid of the Mark Pollock trust, that hopes to cure paralysis. Mark Pollock is an Irish athlete who was blinded in 2009 and had an accident the following year leaving him paralysed. The Mark Pollock Trust says it needs $1 billion to make this a reality, and Mark Pollock himself says he is donating his own body to the research needed to be done for this to happen. The run/walk/wheel begins at 8pm on Wednesday the 7th of November and is due to finish at 9:30pm. The roads used in this fundraiser will be closed however pedestrian and local access will be maintained. The following information has been posted by the dublindocklands.ie and not the DCC.
