Polar Plunge comes back to Sandycove

By Kathrin Kobus

Special Olympics Ireland are hoping for a blue sky and sunny day for their annual Polar Plunge fundraiser on November 30th, the day before the first candle is lit for advent.

Special Olympics Ireland invites “Those who think they are brave enough to take the Polar Plunge” at Sandycove Pier, half an hour after midday.

“Early bird registration costs just €20 with plungers asked to go one step further in their support by fundraising an additional €50 to support local athletes.” The €50 option includes the Polar Plunge Tshirt.

Be ready for the plunge into the water from 12.30pm onwards in a swimming outfit with or without a red or green hat and have a good time with festivities, festivities, fancy dress and watch even Santa making an early appearance to jingle the bells.
