Railway Union Bowling Club welcomes new players for Summer 2021. Lawn bowls is a very sociable sport and can be played by all ages and particularly popular with ex players from other team sports who’s playing days are behind them. Every Wednesday from 6.30pm there is an open “Roll up” for anyone who wants to give it a go, you will be made more than welcome.
In a normal Summer there are inter club competitions run by the Bowling League of Ireland, however this year due the circumstances the emphasis is on the “return to play” and participation. This gives the newcomer a great opportunity to experience a new sport in a safe environment. The Club particularly welcomes beginners who have never played the sport before.
