RICC Tea Dance Gets Everyone on their Feet

Ringsend & Irishtown Community Centre hosted an amazing afternoon of live music, dancing and an incredible mouthwatering feast for the CYMS Active Retirement group recently.

The room was upbeat with lively chatter, laughter and joy and it was great to see everyone greeting each other, thrilled to be able to enjoy this special afternoon of letting one’s hair down and getting up for a bop on the dance floor. Angel and Frankie put on a great show, singing all the hits from old school classics and show tunes and they had everyone on their feet, everyone with a smile on their faces just loving the atmosphere. Even local TD Chris Andrews had himself a
bit of a dance with one of the ladies.

A big thank you went to Caran Flood for the delicious food, Ronan from DCC and Waffles for spreading the happy vibes during the afternoon.
The Active Retirement Association are seeking new members to join for ages 55 and over. They are a fun and supportive group that meet in the CYMS Hall in Ringsend, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 2-4pm. There’s so much on offer from keep fit, snooker, trips, plays and many more activities to keep you going. They also need a few more members to join the indoor bowling team. Getting out of the house has never felt so good,

especially when you can make new friends and learn new skills, all the while being part of a wonderful group of like-minded people to spend time with during the week.
