Lansdowne FC hosted a very special ‘Meet and Greet’ information evening in their very impressive clubhouse on Sep 26th last.
The aim of the evening was to introduce themselves to their neighbours in Sandymount, along with announcing their plans for the newly acquired sports grounds located off Claremont Road in Sandymount from YMCA Dublin, and ending off the night with a questions and answers session.
The President of Lansdowne FC, Stephen Rooney outlined the plans for the future and was really keen to listen to the feedback from the residents in relation to those plans. This new venture in Claremont Road is a much needed infrastructure and facilities for Lansdowne FC as a club and it will provide many other sports for the local area. This is a very exciting time for future possibilities that Claremont Road can deliver.
Mick Dawson who is the Chairman of the club, expressed that the club had been struggling for space for a long time so this will be a huge leverage to them and the new grounds will be maintained as a multi sports complex, open to the whole community. This club wants to work with the residents, they want to be good neighbours and they want to make a contribution.
