The Sean Moore Community Awards 2024 was held on 27th of March in Clanna Gael. We would like to thank our sponsors Aviva Stadium and NewsFour. A big THANK YOU also to the organisers, to Cllr Dermot Lacey for his hosting skills, deputising for Róisín Ingle, and to TDs Chris Andrews, Ivana Bacik, and Jim O’Callaghan, and Councillors Danny Byrne and Claire Byrne for presentation speeches, and especially to Lord Mayor of Dublin Daithí de Róiste who gave out the awards. Special thanks too to Kevin Morrow for keeping us entertained throughout the evening, to Joe and Sharon Donnelly from the Fair-Play Cafe for the scrumptious food, and Catherine and Jay for looking after everyone so splendidly. Paraphrasing Gandhi, Róisín Ingle, who wrote the speeches, said: “We are here this evening to celebrate people who have learned the value of ‘losing themselves in the service of others’ and who have, along the way, found a deeper connection to themselves and the community around them.” Congratulations to all, very well deserved winners.
